Sensitive skin/ Rosacea Treatments
Rosacea is a long-term skin condition that typically affects the face. It is a chronic skin condition which causes facial flushing, redness, telangiectasias (visible vessels) as well as burning sensations, pimples, bumps, skin hardening and visible blood vessels.
It is usually most apparent in the cheeks, nose and chin resulting in redness and small superficial broken blood vessels.
Rosacea is most often seen in fair-skinned people between the ages of 30 and 50 and typically affects the cheeks, nose, forehead and chin. It is more common in women but more aggressive in men. Theories relate to bacteria that live in the colon, an allergy to a natural mite (demodex mite) that lives in our skin, unstable vessels, genetics and sun exposure. skin peptides are also said to trigger these (molecules within the skin). It makes the condition worse, which in turn trigger the skin's immune system (immune response) and redness.
